Nature is invited to the concert, and the Bird Singers, Jean Boucault and Johnny Rasse—bird imitators unique in France—engage in a joyful exchange with the singers of the De Caelis ensemble. Angels, rare and not-so-rare birds appear throughout this program, presented as a tribute to song in all its forms. We hear the universal language of birds and that of love in magnificent 14th-century pieces, for a joyful and heartwarming concert.
Works by Borlet, Solage, Guillaume de Machaut, Guillaume Dufay, Clément Janequin, and anonymous composers from the Chantilly manuscript (14th century).
